After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

This film is the latest in the long line of Marvel films and does it match up to its predecessors? I would say - Definitely.
This film is a step up from Age of Ultron. With the fall out from Sorkovia littered throughout the plotline we see that Steve Rogers is not some mindless soldier, oh - no he is logically assessing his approach to the Sorkovia accords and doing just exactly what he thinks is right, taking half a team of Avengers with him.
I would say what I personally found a bit jarring was the change in editing for this film. Location changes were marked with a long shot of the next location with giant white text plastered along the screen. What I have grown used to with Marvel is the neat corner script not this in your face lettering. Never the less it did not detract from the plot.
The plot -and script as a whole- is interesting, diverse and manages to deal with the multiple locations and splits within the teams during the film. One minute we are in Berlin, the next at Avengers HQ with Vision and Scarlet Witch. That duo is going to be worth looking out for in the future films. Ant Man was introduced to the Avengers in his origin film and he holds up well with Team Rogers as he demonstrates the uses of his suit and gadgets that have evidentially been upgraded since the film. What we see of him in this film makes me excited for Infinity Wars - Part One which will presumably be his next outing, but if not we will definitely see him in 2018 with Ant Man and the Wasp. This was probably my favourite character development in the film.
The introductions of Black Panther and Spiderman are done very well. Black Panther comes across as an unassuming character but has a vengeful quality. We see this throughout the film adding a depth to the plot. Spiderman is an excitable teenager who is totally fan-girling over meeting all the Avengers during the fight scene. This adds a comedic value and a way for Tony Stark to appear almost fatherly in an otherwise self-hate mood of his.
I do have a small problem with the CGI used in this film, there are several scenes where Spiderman's model is all over the place with oddly shaped limbs and a hand that has the ability to change size. Although on the flip side action sequences are very well constructed, those with powers and those who can fly (or both) are very well done for the most part creating an enjoyable experience.
Overall I really enjoyed this film, it has the legs that Age of Ultron just seemed to be missing throughout. There is an actual, interesting plot that isn't just for the purposes to bring together all the Avengers into one scenario. It is exciting, it is edge of your seat thrilling. It is also the longest Marvel movie yet, so numb bums may be a factor! I recommend any Superhero or Marvel fan see this!
I rate this a 9/10.
